E-Commerce Assistant

Description

We’re seeking a friendly and motivated person to join the Foundland team and assist with all aspects of running the day-to-day e-commerce operation.

We’re a small, supportive and hard-working team and you’ll be working closely with the Company Founders Arthur and Sarah. The business is growing quickly and your role will grow with it. There are plenty of creative opportunities that we’d love your help with and there’s scope to shape your role according to your interests over time.

This is a full-time position, currently based in our studio in The Chocolate Factory N22, between Alexandra Palace and Wood Green. There will be some work required on evenings and weekends in the busy Christmas period.

We’ll offer full training, with a salary in the region of £22,000-26,000 depending on experience, and an immediate start.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Order Fulfilment: this will be a big part of the role. Picking items from the warehouse, gift wrapping and packing orders as they come in, ready for the daily postal pickup.
  • Customer Service: answering customer queries and feedback over live chat, email and social media. Managing returns.
  • Stock Management: using our inventory system, helping to manage stock levels, placing orders, receiving and checking-in deliveries, liaising with suppliers, managing stock-takes.
  • Website Management: maintaining the storefront, ensuring everything is correct and keeping it fresh.
  • Marketing: Management of digital advertising and analytics.
  • Logistics: liaising with courier companies and troubleshooting potential issues.
  • Offer creative input to different areas of the business: marketing, customer service, product design and more.
  • Ad hoc duties as required, administration and maintaining a tidy and organised studio.
  • Able to commit to some evening and weekend work in the Christmas period of November and December.
  • Occasional heavy lifting may be required.

Required

  • Able to use your initiative and problem-solve.
  • Clear communicator.
  • Confidence on a computer.

Bonus points

  • Some experience in online retail.
  • Experience in using CRM, CMS and inventory systems.
  • Knowledge of a foreign language (particularly Japanese or Korean).
