This is an original metal and enamel sign, for the train line between the mountainous hot spring resort of Minakami and Ueno in central Tokyo.
This sign is double-sided and the mention of 'yukemuri' or a 'steam' train makes it particularly special: referring to a meticulously restored steam locomotive which travels from Minakami through the charming landscapes of Gunma on the scenic route.
